Love songs is a tedious, labored attempt by director Jayabrato Chatterjee that feels like it has long overstayed its welcome, even though it is in fact just less than two hours in length. It is also a tragic waste of the tremendous acting skills of veterans Jaya Bachchan and Om Puri.

Technically it’s a cool film, the story comes up with a new thrill every half an hour. Saif looks cool and comes up with a measured performance. But once again we would flag Akshay as the winner who gets   back memories of Humraaz. Overall Race is a complete Abbas-Mastan thriller.
